I am a Registered Psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology. I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education Degree at Lakehead University and a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I have worked in a private practice setting in Alberta and have recently moved to beautiful Nova Scotia. Before my career as a psychologist, I was a hairstylist as well as a teacher. I am married and have 2 children and truly understand the stress and struggles that life brings us.
I have a passion for working with adults, couples, and parents to assist them in creating a fulfilling life. My areas of treatment include: anxiety, depression, life stressors, burnout, relationship difficulties, developmental/attachment trauma, and parenting struggles. My approach to therapy is holistic and I believe in helping people develop awareness, resilience, skills, resources, and wisdom by utilizing a variety of techniques.
I am warm, compassionate, and easy to connect with. I believe in helping others figure out what stands in the way of them living their best life. I take a client-centered approach and focus on providing a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am honoured to have the opportunity to assist clients feel like they are on the path of well-being and can get out of survival mode.
