Riana works with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and trauma. Riana believes the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in psychotherapy, and strives foremost to establish a warm, supportive, and collaborative alliance with clients. Riana’s therapeutic approach incorporates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices and she has training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Riana believes we all have the capacity to heal ourselves. She helps clients to become more aware of what might be keeping them stuck, as well as uncovering the strengths that will help them move toward making meaningful changes.
